OAU Awards ₦100,000 To The Overall Best Graduating Student (Opinion)

The Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) has recently gifted the overall best graduating student at the 45th convocation, ₦100,000 cash prize.

This to some extent is to reward and appreciate the student for all his efforts and academic excellence.

It could be argued that even though the sun could not rent a single room apartment in commercial areas of Ile-ife, the management of Obafemi Awolowo University should be commended for this generous act.

The school could be said to have done well as its counterpart university did not do close to this.

The said student, Ohanekwu Favour graduated with the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.88 as the best graduating student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), thereby getting for himself the Cash prize of a hundred thousand Naira (₦100,000).
